We’ll cover:

• Acrylic portrait painting with a reference photo
• Tips to painting with a reference
• Understanding reference points within the subject and painting in relation to them
• Utilizing the drying speed of acrylic to build up layers of detail in the subject
• Eschewing traditional blending with an emphasis on lighting and shading rather than hues and color
• A focus on using color and space to convey emotion of the painter and subject
• Realism/pointillism/broad brush strokes
